ECSTATIC AWAKENING DANCE

WHat is iT?

This dance method is a fantastic way of getting out of your mind and into your body, allowing your tensions to melt away and your spirit to soar. By moving your body naturally, breathing deeply and letting go of inhibitions, regular dancing this way can really heal and shift your life up a gear.

Using the powerful combination of movement, breath and rhythm, Ecstatic Awakening Dance creates an invigorating, inspiring and freeing experience that brings about a sense of personal wellbeing and awakens the natural feeling of ecstasy that we all have inside.

The process is: a simple warm up of the body, an invigorating shake, the awakening dance where you move however you feel, followed by a short relaxation and meditation. The dance is unique every time, it's your own expression in that moment, a chance to truly let go. Supported by invigorating, inspiring world music, you dance on your own, with your eyes mostly closed and you move to the rhythm of your own beat - a true opportunity to dance like no-one is watching!

WHY DO IT?

Busy lives equal stressed bodies and minds that rarely get the opportunity to truly stop - this powerful, established method helps release tensions, aches, pains, worries, fears and provides an opportunity for a much needed 'let-go'. The Dance reminds us how to be present, to relish each moment… for an hour and a half you can be free, at peace with yourself and then each time carry more of this with you into daily life.

Ecstatic dancing is also a fantastic workout, building fitness, endurance and flexibility all of which brings you confidence in the way you move and in yourself! You will leave feeling happier and healthier in body, mind and heart. Ruth says about the dance,"I can’t recommend it highly enough as one of the most fun, powerful and re-invigorating transformational tools I have ever used and now have the joy to share".
